Tomcat Installation & Setup

As we know that Eclipse is a very powerful and popular Integrated development environment(IDE) for Java and to develop a web project we need a Web Server. Apache Tomcat is most common web server for the web application development in java.

By default when we download Eclipse IDE, it does not contains Tomcat. So we have to install it separately .

STEP - 1

Download Apache Tomcat from this link. we using version 8.5.8.
Download-Apache-Tomcat-8.5.8

STEP - 2

Extract it to some folder at your machine.
dowload-tomcat

STEP - 3

Add a new server.
add-tomcat-server

STEP - 4

Define a new server as shown in below picture.
